Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Validus LLC for use of validus.tv and validusclips.com. By creating an account you agree to them. We record which version of the terms you accept and when; when the terms change, the app shows you the new version and asks you to accept it before you carry on. A change never applies to a payment, payout or campaign you confirmed before it.
Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and able to form a binding contract. Sign-up asks for your date of birth and refuses anyone under 18; existing accounts must confirm their date of birth before continuing. Validus is currently available in the United States only, for sign-up and payouts.
What Validus is
Validus is a clipping platform. Creators fund clipping campaigns on their videos and set a rate per 1,000 verified views. Clippers cut and post short clips and get paid per 1,000 verified views on approved clips. Brands buy labelled paid placements inside clips. Agencies staff campaigns with their rosters. Verified views are currently measured on TikTok; each campaign lists the platforms it pays on.

Keep your login secure and your details accurate. You are responsible for activity on your account.
Campaigns and pricing
- Creator campaigns start at $5. Campaign budgets are held in escrow and pay only for approved clips.
- Brand campaigns have a $100 minimum plus a 15% Validus fee. The managed option, where Validus writes the brief, hand-picks and briefs the clippers, and reviews every clip, adds 35%.
- Clipper plans: Free, and Pro at $19.99 per month. Validus keeps a clip payout fee of 15% on Free and 10% on Pro, taken when a clip's payout is credited. Cancelling Pro stops future renewals; there are no refunds for cancellation or partial months.
- Refunds are covered by the Refund Policy. Payouts are covered by the Payout Terms.
Review and verified views
A person reviews every clip against the campaign rules before it can be paid, and no one approves their own clip. Only views we can verify are paid. We don't promise any number of views or any amount of pay.
Content and rights
Clippers may only clip content from campaigns they join, and must follow each campaign's rules and the rules of the platforms they post on. Creators confirm they have the rights to the content they offer for clipping. Copyright (DMCA) notices: support@validusclips.com. Clippers own the clips they make. By submitting a clip, you give Validus a limited licence to display it on validusclips.com and validus.tv.
Paid placements
Brand placements are paid content and must be labelled as paid wherever they are posted.
Prohibited conduct
- Fake, bought or bot views, or any attempt to inflate views.
- Reposting others' content without permission.
- Misleading or unlabelled paid content.
- Using more than one account to get around rules or limits.
- Impersonating someone, or misrepresenting a clip, a creator or a brand.
- Anything illegal, sexually explicit, hateful, harassing, or that endangers a child.
- Getting around a fee, limit, review or ban.
- Scraping Validus or interfering with how it runs.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using Validus at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law. When an account closes, withdrawable balances are paid out after any review we need, unless they came from fraud. If we end a campaign, the budget not yet paid out or promised to clippers goes back to the brand or creator who funded it. We remove content that infringes copyright when properly notified and close the accounts of repeat infringers.
Taxes
You are responsible for your own taxes. Consult a tax professional about what applies to you. Stripe may collect tax information and issue tax forms where required.
Disclaimers and liability
Validus is provided as it is. We do not promise any number of views or any result, or that the service will never be interrupted. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid Validus in the 12 months before the claim and $100. You agree to indemnify Validus against third-party claims arising from content you post or your breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.
Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina. Before going to court, tell us about the problem at support@validusclips.com and give us 30 days to put it right. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in South Carolina, unless the law where you live gives you a right to bring them elsewhere.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will post changes here and update the effective date.
