Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Validus LLC ("Validus", "we") collects when you use validus.tv and validusclips.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Who can use Validus
Validus is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Sign-up asks for your date of birth, and accounts for anyone under 18 are refused. Existing accounts must confirm their date of birth before continuing.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, date of birth (to confirm you are 18 or older), username, and optional bio and profile picture, plus the role you choose. Clippers and creators add the social platforms and handles they use. Brands add a company name, website, a proof link, and a contact name and title. The sign-up form asks for your full name, email, a password, the role or roles you want, an invite code (Validus is invite-only during the beta) and an optional referral code; the other details are added when you verify a role or edit your profile.
- Messages and reports: campaign messages and direct messages you send in the app, and any reports or disputes you file.
- Content and links: clips and clip links you submit, campaign briefs and rules, and review decisions.
- Clip and view data: the links to clips you submit and their public view counts over time. TikTok views are read from the clip's public page. Where enabled, public view counts are also read from the YouTube Data API and the X API. We don't ask you to connect or log in to your social accounts for this. Verified views are currently measured on TikTok.
- Payment and payout information: card payments and payouts are handled by Stripe, including Stripe Connect for payouts. Payout accounts are Stripe Express accounts: Stripe collects and holds identity and tax details (such as Social Security numbers) in its own onboarding. Validus does not see or store them. Validus stores your Stripe account ID, whether payouts are enabled, any outstanding Stripe requirements, and records of purchases and withdrawals (amounts, fees, status and Stripe reference IDs). We do not store card numbers.
- Usage information: we record in-app events (such as pages and actions used) with your account, role and a session ID, in our own database. On the web app we store sign-in and display preferences (such as your last active role) in your browser's local storage. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising or error-tracking tools.
How we use information
- To run your account and the campaigns you join or fund.
- To review clips, measure verified views and pay approved clips.
- To process payments and payouts and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To contact you about your account and the service.
- We do not send marketing emails today. If we start, every marketing email will include an unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out by emailing support@validusclips.com.
Service providers
We share information with providers who help us run Validus, only as needed:
- Stripe (payments and payouts)
- Supabase (database and sign-in)
- Vercel (website hosting)
- Anthropic (AI tools that analyse clips and suggest moments, when you use them)
- Google (YouTube Data API) and X (X API), for public view counts where enabled
Sharing
Campaign owners can see the clips submitted to their campaigns and the handles of the clippers who made them. We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for advertising. We disclose personal information only to the service providers listed above, or where the law requires it.
Retention
We keep your information until your account is closed. After that we delete it, except for what the law requires us to keep. We keep records we're legally required to keep (such as payment and tax records) for as long as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing support@validusclips.com. There is no self-serve account deletion in the app yet; email us and we will handle the request. Validus currently serves users in the United States only. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing support@validusclips.com.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information. No system is perfectly secure.
Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date.
